Wizards has posted various images from the core rule books as wallpapers. The only problem is that the largest resolution is 1280x1024 which is a bummer because my mac is 1440x900 and my PC is 1920x1200. Oh well, I am a huge fan of the artwork in the core rulebooks and I’m happy they posted these. My favorite image from the DMG is below.
My favorite is the one with the cleric in front of the undead horde. I actually made that into a wallpaper for my computer when that art came out last year.
Sadly, my monitor won’t support higher than 1280x1024. I’m pretty sure my computer could support quite a bit higher.
Those are SWEET!! I just put the red dragon one on my computer. Awesome.

I really liked this particular wallpaper, especially because it was titled “Non-combat Encounter” when it really should have been called “Failed Non-Combat Encounter”. That dwarf’s butt is toast. =D
WoW, no widescreen pics? Just more proof that WotC does not “get” computers.
I sent an e-mail to WotC (a fruitless endeavor, I am sure), and I got this generic response:
Thank you for writing. Right now we do not have an estimated date in regards to when that feature or product will be available. However, what I have done is escalated your incident to the appropriate parties involved with that brand so that we can make them aware that there is a desire in the community to receive a release date, timeframe, or request an additional feature. We sincerely appreciate your concern and feedback on this matter and if you have any additional questions feel free to ask us!
