This page serves as a one-stop shop of links and downloads for quality 4th edition character sheets, power cards, and other Dungeons and Dragons game aids. If you have a sheet that you'd like featured here, email jim@dragonavenue.com. We reserve the right to refuse submissions that don't meet a certain level of quality. We don't want folks wading through pages of mediocrity to find a gem. Everything here should be worth your time! Last Update refers to the last time we checked for the latest version of the resource, not necessarily the last time the resource was modified.

D&D 4th Edition Character Sheets

Only the highest quality character sheets are listed here. There may be many others around the net, but these are the best we've found.

Character Sheet by Shado

A color landscape 4e character sheet. This sheet comes complete with a sheet to record your powers as well as a sheet for rituals. The overall quality of this sheet makes it one of our favorites. The original thread at ENWorld has more details and is a good place to check for further updates.

Format: 8.5" x 11" (US Letter)
Orientation: Landscape
Pages: 2, plus optional powers and ritual sheets
Last Update: 6/15/2008

Character Sheet by Mad Irishman

A very nice color character sheet. The PDF file uses layers, allowing you to turn on/off graphics and text, change colors, and toggle the parchment background. It's a snap to customize some of the visual elements. Visit the Mad Irishman's web site for more variations of this sheet.

Format: 8.5" x 11" (US Letter)
Orientation: Portrait
Pages: 4 (includes power sheet)

Character Sheet by Kiznit

A greyscale portrait 4e character sheet that is significantly better than the official sheet. The slot item detail with the character silhouette on the second page is a nice touch. More details on the original thread at ENWorld.

Format: 8.5" x 11" (US Letter)
Orientation: Portrait
Pages: 7 (includes power cards)

Dungeons & Dragons 4E Power, Condition, and Item Cards

Whether it's preprinted cards for quick use or blank ones for custom elements, these resources have you covered.

Condition Cards by Jim Goings

The two-sided cards are meant to be used like name plaques at the gaming table to remind you of the effects of active conditions. The player side says "You are Dominated" and the other side says "I am Dominated". For conditions that include other conditions, I listed all effects on the single card.

Format: 8.5" x 11" (US Letter) (folded into a tent shape)
Orientation: N/A
Pages: 16
Last Update: 6/16/2008 (fixed grammatical errors on several cards)

Power and Item Cards by JFJohnny5

The blank power cards are elegantly designed and look great in color. The item cards are also very useful for tracking magic items. The cards come in standard playing card size, but the index card size is great for hand writing as there is plenty of room and it's easy to print directly to index cards instead of cutting with other sizes. Check the author's google group for the individual files and more information.

Format: 8.5" x 11" (US Letter) (cut into playing-card sized pieces)
3.5" Index Card size also available.
Orientation: N/A
Pages: varies
Last Update: 6/16/2008

Power and Item Cards (PDF) - Multiple files in a single zip (10MB)

Dungeons & Dragons 4E Trackers

Anything that tracks progress, status, or conditions such as initiative trackers and combat trackers

Initiative Tracker by Dr Midnight

A handy, dandy Nev-R-Fail 4e Initiative and Effects Tracker. Excellent resource for DMs (and possibly players) for initiative order and what effects are in place and when they end. Resource is listed as coming from www.TomMartinArt.com

Format: 8.5" x 11" (US Letter)
Orientation: Landscape
Pages: 1

Dungeons & Dragons 4E Generators

Quick tools that aid in the quick generation of monster, encounters, NPCs, etc.

4E Monster Math Cruncher by Asmor

As noted by Chibbell: The Monster Math Cruncher will help you build level appropriate monsters with very little mathematical effort. Considering that I am running 4E Iron Kindgoms and the majority of my villains are humans, this should prove very useful. This lets me concentrate on any special powers or flavor I want a creature or NPC to have without worrying overly about the math. It’s great to see that the structure behind 4E lends itself so well to applications like this.

4E Random Encounter Generator by Asmor

As noted by Chibbell: Not sure what to throw at the party next? With the Random Encounter Generator, a few tweaks of the numbers and buttons will give you completely random encounters. I haven’t checked the math yet but it seems pretty accurate. I’ve never been a huge fan of random monsters but it can often be a good spark for creativity when you’re feeling adventure block.
