D&D all started for me one day in the fall of 1979 when my brother’s group was needed a 4th. So they handed me this sheet and said, “Here - you get to be the cleric.” As only a 9 year old could understand at that moment adopted a pay me or die attitude.
So what, this fall will be 29 years of gaming minus the time invested into World of Warcraft. 20 years of which have been spent playing the DM. I LOVE TO DM.
What I love about D&D? The challenges and fun of playing with friends and playing characters that have to figure out their role in this adventure and or world. What I hate about D&D? The players who munchkin it out. The player who knows I’m about to run the Ravenloft module begs to play a cleric who can dust Strahd with a roll of 10 or better. I refer to this as the cheat-code strategy to gaming.
What I’m good at? Free form DMing. What I suck at? Running modules because there’s always that ONE PART of information or something the party would have wanted/needed.
