RECON:WWII campaign…

I am playing a WWII RECON campaign,it will just be me/GM,Brad,his stepson(who is 9),and hopefully a good player of our D&D games,Rick.
They will run 2 characters a piece..I know that’s alot on a 9 year old first timer...so I will let him run 1 character, and I will run the other.
So far the character classes are..
1.Sniper/Demo
2.Medic/Pigman

They are United States Marines who have just landed on Iwa Jima.
1st Mission:"Storming the beach”, two .30 caliber heavymachine gun nests are located on the cliffs overlooking the beach, there is a 50% chance of being hit.

PC(S) will have to roll a Night Fighting:Rapid Movement check% and then toss a grenade into the nests, will take at least (2)characters with high AG skill to do this.

After success, the Marines march through some jungle(Random Encounter check).
During break, a message comes over the radio, that there is a village which is really a Japanese base, that is having a shipment of supplies coming in and a shipment of Gold going out.

The camp will have just yer plain Jap soldiers, maybe 2 officers, and maybe a sniper.
I might put snipers in the trees.
there is also a U.S. Tank with a Japanese Pilot, who is protecting the Gold.

So I will keep ya posted of the groups progress.

Who Here Didn’t Start Roleplaying with D&D?

Just a curious question on my part, I know a lot of people who started with D&D and have never really played another system for a long period of time. My RPGs in the order they were played(only ones played for more than 6 months included):

-Shadowrun
-WEG Star Wars
-D&D(Planescape, Dark Sun, Forgotten Realms, Greyhawk in that order)

I haven’t been near a video game since Space Invaders, can anyone recommend a video game system for a young child that has both fun and educational games? Thanks!

So has anyone else played this game..I defeated it with the Dwarf...then started over again with the Human warrior and just recently defeated it again.
I tried the rogue, but just didnt care for him that much..
I’m now trying the Mage, Elven Race..

I wish they would have had other classes besides, Warrior/Mage/Rogue..as well as Races..
Hopefully Part 2 will have more Races and Classes to choose from.

It’s a pretty decent and cool game, I give it a 8 out of 10..
Of course there was some things I didnt like, that I hope they fix for the next one.
Water..the water never moved when you were able to walk thru it,however most of the time,ya couldnt go thru it.
Expand the land...like in Two Worlds..where you can run all over the place.
Would like to see some Weather changes...rain..snow...stuff like that..
The main thing..how about the character you play..why give him/her a voice??if they hardly ever use it??

So what is yer take on this game??

So, my kids saw the 360 version of Magic and I downloaded it. I got to playing it and remembered that I liked it. So, for Christmas I got them some decks to play around with. One for each color. They picked it up pretty good.

But somethings I have noticed that have changed pretty much… What is “cycling”? And what is the deal with the two way cards?

Anyways, who else still plays this?

What are some of the Creepiest & Scariest Video Games you have played??

Back in the day, when Resident Evil came out, it was kinda creepy.
Some of my favorites are: Silent Hill, Resident Evil 3(I think), and most recently played
Condemned. I’m always looking for creepy games to play at night.
What have you played, that you consider creepy, spooky, etc.

DungeonLand!

So as I mentioned in another thread, I’m working on making my own dungeon crawling game to both introduce my four-year-old daughter to gaming and to help teach some math and reading skills to her. I’ll be posting my initial rules builds and graphic design ideas here. The rules are pretty close to the old Dungeon! game, which I didn’t realize until I had finished writing out my basic ideas. Anyway, below is a sample card idea just to give an idea. I’m looking for free and public domain art, but I haven’t found a whole lot yet, so I’m just using a picture I found on the internet for a placeholder.

Oh yeah, and the name could use some work.

And thanks to Jacob Lewis for a working title. DungeonLand! is a much better title.
