4th & Dragon : Dungeons and Dragons...and stuff

I don’t think I ever made a thread about it way back when but my wife is pregnant.  We’re expecting a boy around mid February.  I’ll get some pictures of the baby’s room once we get that cleaned up.  We’re going to name him David Anthony.

The baby’s room used to be my office, so we had to move my desk into my bedroom.  I’m pleasantly surprised by how well my desk fit after some rearranging and how well my game collection fits on the shelf we picked up at a garage sale a couple months back for this purpose.

That mouse is great. I have the older version. Congrats on the baby news and nice setup.

Got enough of the room cleaned up to get some pictures.  The crib, currently set up as a child’s daybed for my niece.  The front rail you see behind it will be put on and the mattress will be brought up.

All in all it turned out very nice, especially with what what we had to work with.  We’re pretty broke at this point, and not because of being pregnant.  My desk?  Free.  The crib\bedset\mattress were gifts (not all from the same person).  The shelves in the baby’s room are woodscraps that my wife’s cousin stained for us.  The paint was mostly leftover from painting our bathroom.  The curtains my wife made from a couple bucks of cloth.

Yes it is.  It’s the best mouse I’ve ever used.  I was really happy when they put out a version of the G5 with 2 thumb buttons before moving on to the G9.

Lookin’ Good. As for the mouse, I am envious of the second thumb button. I could really use a forward button in Firefox and another button is always welcome in games.

Congrats.  I only wish my computer desk looked that clean.  Mine is covered in papers and all sorts of crap.

My crib and other things (rocker, etc) weren’t free, but I did buy them crazy cheap from a friend whose daughter had just graduated to a bed.  It’s unbelievable how much some of that crap costs, so getting it cheap, or even better--free, is awesome.

Congrats on the wife (missed you getting married somehow, must been during my warcraft coma) and on the kid.  2 best things I ever did, getting married and having a kid.

If I remember correctly I joined up Februaryish ‘00 right after 3rd Ed came out.  I was 15.  I’m 23 now, pretty close to 24.

I see that we are playing the way back machine game. I lurked for a while before joining. It would have been summer of ‘02 in which I was 14. I now own my own home and am married at 22. Times do go fast.

Yeah, I remember those days too. Back when your brother was being an obnoxious little twerp That first chatroom where people could enter multiple times to do lame John Stamos jokes was actually fun.

I wish my desk looked that good (I’m with Cam on this one, papers, junk, CD’s, etc all over… looks like a Staples blew up on my desk). 

AND…

I wish kids’ rooms looked that clean… eventhough I tell them to clean them…

I agree with SJ getting locked down with my wife actually helped me out soooo much in life.  And having kids was literally the best 5 things to ever happen to me.

I tend to clean mine every couple of weeks or so, but it always seems to amass clutter. I am jealous that yours is clean, but would be even more envious to find out that yours stays clean.
