Animated by dark magic and composed entirely of bones, a skeleton is emotionless and soulless, desiring nothing but to serve its creator.

Is that halfling rogue seriously up in front of both the fighter and the cleric against a horde of skeletons?  WTF?

I think she’s just so short that she wouldn’t show up if she wasn’t up front anyway

Sure, provide a metagame reason for it...I mean, other than thinking the player is retarded.

Maybe the party is retreating and the halfling is just really slow and being left behind.

The halfling is actually a fighter, with a short sword...... maybe..... possibly.... not really.

...or the halfling is higher level and therefore sturdier.

...or the halfling has a golbin-bane weapon (or similar).

...or JK was right and it’s related to an artist attempt to draw the halfling in a visible manner.

Or maybe the halfling was out front keeping an eye out for traps like any good rogue should when he walked into a room full of goblins and hasn’t had time to back up yet.

That’s right folks.  Look carefully at that picture and you’ll note that the only skeleton in that picture is the rather segregated one on the floor at the rogue’s feet (probably the goblins’ last victim).  All the other foes are goblins.

You’re right.  I thought that they were skeletal goblins, but obviously not now that I look at it at home.  Blasted 640 x 480 monitors at work.

Yes really.  Every website I go to looks like (Gibbering Mouther Ate Your Word!), even this one, on those small friggin resolutions.

Sadly, I don’t really like that art.

For some reason it makes me feel like this is a not as good version of Skeletor from He-Man. With some minor google-fu I even found a similar pose.
