My Warlord player was looking ahead on his exploits. The ‘Break the Nerve” utility exploit on page 155 states “Effect: The target is marked until the end of your next turn”
Question: Mark? I know fighter/paladins have marks, any one knows what the mark is and its restrictions?
The next one, Control the Field, also gives a Mark, but identifies an effect…
I was keying in so much on the fighter/paldian’s special marks that it went right past. I’ve been using the beeds as well as some dice from Evil Minions that I had from Warmachine… Neil has some here: http://www.thewarstore.com/evilminionsmarkerdice.html
Not a 100% match, but it covers the more common things… Might be a bit to clutter for true RPG types though.

I guess that’s an easy confusion to make because fighters and paladins are the only classes that can mark enemies as a class feature, giving the impression that “marking” is a concept associated with those two classes. However, it’s a generic condition that transcends those classes, even if most of the time they’re the only ones that use this rule - but, as found out here, Warlords for example may also mark with certain powers. It’s also interesting to note that both fighters and paladins have special, additional effects that come with their class abilities that allow marking (combat challenge and divine challenge), and those don’t apply when it says the target is simply “marked” - not only in those warlord powers, but even with fighter and paladin powers that say “the target is marked” as an associated effect (don’t remember any offhand and don’t have my books here with me, but there are a few). That’s how I understand it anyway.
Not true, Rangers get Hunter’s Mark, but it’s only for them. And effective as hell, which is why they’re the strikers I guess.
That is Hunter’s Quarry which works differently. It does not benefit from the marked condition (found in the combat chapter) and does not negate previous marks (like that of the fighter or the paladin).
