Eardianm, I am not sure about having 3 strikers. It could work out ok though.
I still recommend having a wizard in the party if anyone wants to play one.

If Erdianm really wants a striker, I can take wizard.  I don’t mind, I plan to play each character class at least once.

Cool, well I will start making a character sometime tonight. Might take a few days to get it all together though since I have all this new information from these new books And being level 10 allows a lot more options.  Might post in the Character Thread to have it reviewed by people more informed about clerics than me

Ok well, then Rothe do you want us to post our characters in this this thread.  My elf ranger has been done since i first decided on a ranger.  I just like making characters lol. 

edit: i forgot I am missing equiptment.  do we get the Level +1, Level, and Level -1 plus level -1 gold?

Good question Frost, I was meaning to ask if we would do it like in my game and have a lvl 9, 10, and 11 item + lvl 9 item gold

I now have Adventurer’s vault and the FR books and I am trying to read through as fast as I can :D

Swordmage is officially ok. Genasi are ok for races. Drow are not.

I’d like to remind you that immediate actions may be a bit worse in a PbP game compared to a normal pen and paper tabletop game, because you have to often tell in advance if you want to use them and in what circumstances. The swordmage’s aegis of assault looks like something that is going to be a potential problem. I advice to think about how you want it handled.
I’d rather not stop and wait every time there is a potential use for it.

Since I have the books, I am going to set the game to Forgotten realms. I am trying to find a good site for the adventure and the beginning. This might affect your backgrounds a bit. It is possible that some (or all) characters will be from Abeir (twin world to Toril) and that they appeared recently on the surface of Toril (the FR world).
This will be a good explanation for stuff like Dragonborn that are not really that native to Toril.

Also, if you don’t mind too much, the characters don’t know much about the recent events on Toril. This means that if possible, the history skill is going to be a bit different. It may require some study to find out about history of different areas. Please comment if this will cause problems in regard to your character (or in general).
I will try to make the history skill useful though. Perhaps the characters have been around for one year or so on Toril so they have learned stuff about it.

Since we will use FR as a campaign world, please inform if you lack access to these books. If you do, I will dig up stuff from the books (and others can too) for those players that fits the class and race combination, so that everyone is on equal ground.

If the cleric/paladin players don’t have the books, I recommend looking at the FR wiki for the Pantheon (gods of Faerun) to suit the needs of the potential paladins and clerics. There are divine feats for each god in the FR player’s guide and the ones with the books can help with those.

For magical items do this:

Choose one item of level +1, one equal to your level and one of level -1.
You can downgrade the level(s) one or more items if you want, and gain the difference in prices in gold.

You can buy other magical items of your level -5 (5th or lower) with your extra cash. No more than 2 such items.

You can create your own items with the extra cash too, if you have the enchant magic item ritual.

And I think that FR is a fine idea by me, gives us a pre-built world which helps out since you don’t have to worry about that

For now, don’t make a spellscarred character. I have enough stuff to handle and I’d rather keep the extra FR things in check for a bit.

Well, I’ll definitely pick up the FR book then.

Is there a character wealth by level listing in the PHB? I was looking the other night but didn’t see one. Or can I pull this off the compendium online?

Sounds good.  Don’t wanna make too much work for you I am definitely considering some multi-classing for my cleric though, going to have to look around and see what works.  I really just want to try it to get a good view-point since we had so much discussion about it in our thread.

Well, I liked the old realms and played and DM’d FR games quite a bit.
I want to get some use out of my books and extra content for the players should be fun too.

So to clarify, we are all from Abeir?  I think that is what you were saying, basically non native torils pre abeir moving into toril.

Do we still get regional bonuses and the like?
