4th & Dragon : Dungeons and Dragons...and stuff

Hey guys, so its time to talk shop for characters. All you really need to put here is what class you are and were you are at the time of the spellplague just so you can find others to start the game with.

Character building is 22 point bye and all books allowed, levle 1 and 100gp. Sorry I didn’t have that up earlier.

Also, with your character sheet, have all powers stated out please.  Leaving weapon damage blank if you attack with several weapons is fine as long as you have the bonus you get with each weapon and say somewhere on your character sheet what weapon damage your weapons do.  So instead of Wis VS AC, I need to know what the bonus you get to hit and when it says + your Cha, I need to know what your Cha is.  This just takes some work out of my hands so that I can just get all your character sheets into my spread sheets and we can play faster.

House rules are:
Downtime for leveling. So even though you may have enough XP to level you will have to rest and reflect to gain any of that power. Try to stay in flavor with this, remembering story as the key element.

Also it will be hard to raise people because the PC’s will most likely be the only really high level characters, so most deaths will be true deaths. If you want to hunt down a cleric that is powerful enough to heal you most likely will eventually be able to do it, but it will be hard.

Other then that no other house rules I can think of. If you have any just give me a shout and I will think about them.

Physical Description: Built well and dark of (blue skin), Yurel has spent his life in the ocean and on the deck of a boat. Living hard and manning a ship full of cutthroats is rough work, and Yurel managed both for years.

Background: Yurel was Captain of the proud ship The Sharp, his watersoul lineage gave him instincts and power on the water unheard of in years. He and his crew were in the process of boarding a merchant gallery guarded by a contingent of knights. The battle seemed won, until a sudden catastrophe occurred: the Spellplague. A mage-knight Yurel was locked in combat with erupted into a massive ball of blue fire, destroying both ships and hurling Yurel into the water, unconscious. The spellplague’s cataclysmic effects on the world put Yurel into a coma, his ties to his elemental spirit temporarily severed.
He awoke some time later, a prisoner in an Archendale jail cell, unaware of the actual catastrapohic events that have occured.

Personality: Rough, crude, and blunt. Yurel spent years not taking crap from his shipmates, and isn’t about to start taking any from some landlubber.

Family and Relationship Status: Family dead or lost at sea, single.

Likes: The ocean, sailing, being intimidating, material wealth.

Dislikes: Fast talk, trickery, magic, in-land areas, being treated as a lesser individual.

Strengths: Physically superior, strong leader, tactically intelligent (on the sea anyways)

Weaknesses: Unused to life off the ocean, mentally slow, short temper.

Plot idea: “I’m replacing my ship, and killing that f**k.”

Halfling rogue. I was out in the woods about a mile away from my village (northern Chondalwood) practicing combat moves against a tree when the sky filled with blue fire.

Holding this spot.  Have my character built actually, I just have to give him a backstory and upgrade him some since he was made back before I had my AV or any FR books.  So I might wanna change up a few things

Well Probably going to do either bugbear ranger or Minotaur fighter just got see which i like better.

I want to do something with a Swordmage, though I’m not sure what race and/or where from yet. Feel free to PM me to talk concepts or e-mail at . just put “dragon ave. character stuff” or something in the subject/title.

I would like to join. Never did pbp before, but will be happy to give it a try. Reserving the spot for my character. I will think of a concept soon and post some info. I will probably go with something basic from the PHB, as I have yet to play 4th edition as a character (currently DMing a Scales of War game that runs once a month).

Personality: His actualy a wonderer that is a bit too curious and get in tons of trouble but his big friend always get him out of it.

Family and Relationship Status: His only friend is [Frost character name].

Likes: Rats on a stick, to see things burn and say something witsy to prove his right.

Dislikes: Apples, cold weather and rain, being wrong.

Strengths: His sturdy and intelligent and he control dark magic.

Weaknesses: His not strong and way to curious for his own good.

Since I don’t care if people know to terribly much about my characters (save for stats and whatnot) here’s what I have so far:

Physical Description: Erevan has a rather fragile build, even compared to the average Eladrin. If one looks closely however, you can see the finely toned muscles that years of training in the Eladrin’s martial arts has given him. His silver hair falls loosely on his shoulders and his deep green eyes gleam with intelligence and a genuine curiosity of the world around him. He often dresses in a simple blue tunic with a cloak over the left side of his body.

Background: Erevan hails from Myth Drannor, the ancient city reclaimed by the Elves in 1374DR under the leadership of the Sun Elf Lord Seiveral Miritar, who lost his life in the battle. Though young, he is aware of his proud heritage and hopes to one day join the Coronal Guard and restore Myth Drannor to it’s former glory, however impossible the task may seem. Having just completed the first step, becoming a Swordmage, he still has much to learn before he will be admitted in to the Coronal Guard. To further his training he wishes to take up a life of adventure and test himself against the evils of the world and prove himself worthy of defending his home.

Personality: Erevan is a friendly and genuinely charming individual. At first glance he may seem naive, lost in the carefree ways of youth. On closer inspection many begin to realize that behind the mask is a stalwart individual who often puts duty before leisure, and the well-being of others before his own. Brave to a fault, he is prone to reckless bravado in dangerous situations. He is also a loyal friend, and recognizes the value of having allies against the darkness that hopes to consume Toril.

I’ll send you the full character sheet via PM when I have it ready Andrewk. Also, for anyone looking to form a party, this character can pretty much be anywhere that’s convenient for forming a group. He’s good aligned, so evil will probably not work well in a group with him. PM me if you want to talk about partying up

Allright, so as to make this formal i’ll post a short skit here about my character and i’ll PM or e-mail the full character sheet as soon as possible…
Kordo Verlian was a human male wizard from the Dalelands who had accumulated a fair amount of magical power, but he lost it all (although he retains some knowledge of rituals) in the spellplague. Luckily, he knew of a way to retain/gain some powers and so he concluded a Warlock Pact. Another bonus was, although he had to start at a low power level again, he was completely rejuvenated by the ritual.

PS: not sure about Star Pact or Fey Pact yet, but i’ll decide on my character sheet and let y’all know.

So, lucky me, somehow I deleted my character sheet.  So I need to re-do that now, give me a day or so.  Though I don’t think this is in too big a rush
