One of the characters in my game is playing a gnome Wild Mage (Complete Arcane).  He is tending to get more and more chaotic as the game goes on.  I was wondering if anyone one would have some suggestions on feats (from about any source) that might be appropriate for him.  The more insane the better.  Also if you can think of any abilities or special effects that would seem appropriate that would work too (for instance I was thinking about giving him access to all Chaos domain spells in addition to the normal Sorcerer spells)

He probably likes to cast Confusion a lot, so maybe the feat Ability Focus from the Monster Manual for that spell would be suitable. There aren’t any specifically chaotic feats that come to mind, though I tend to play lawful-aligned characters so I wouldn’t have specifically made note of such feats.

I can’t think of any feats in particular, but IDHMBIFOM, so there might be some.  He should definitely get a Rod of Wonder and a Bag of Tricks or two, to take advantage of his student of chaos ability.  If you can square it with the DM, develop a spell similar to Antimagic Field, except that instead of making a dead magic zone, it creates a wild magic zone.

Maximize/Sudden Maximize work well with the Prismatic spells (Prismatic Wall/Sphere/Ray/etc), as the maximized result usually yields two effects.

Maximize only works on numeric effects of the spell, not items on a numeric list. Metamagic feats which modify a spell’s numeric effects will never change what effect from a numbered list occurs, such as from Prismatic Spray or Confusion.

He hasn’t gotten to that spell yet

He is already loose with the Rod of Wonder (fireball’ed the party last week).  Clearing things with the DM shouldn’t be a problem (that’s me).  I need to look into the Wild magic.  What book is this?

SlayerOfTarasque - I’m going to need to look a little harder that these.

One other thing that I have been looking at are the abberant feats in the Lords of Madness.
