There have been some screenshots of the new Issue 11 powers. Dual Blades resemble dual wielding scimitars (gee, wonder why). It’s completely unrealistic, but I think they look pretty cool, and I happen to like Drizzt.
Willpower, on the other hand, I just don’t know enough about to really decide whether I’ll like it or not. Guess I’ll just have to see. The screenshots make it look kind of intrusive and not as subtle as I was hoping.
This all said, I can’t wait to roll up a new scrapper when I11 drops.
You get anywhere with your Character in the Evil Frad Super Team? About 5-7 characters have hit 50 now, and I am trailing a ways behind at 39 and 23 (rarely play the dual box anymore). Also, is there interest in the other Super teams forming up? Mainly, the Spines/DA and the Burning Bush (Fire and Plant Dom) Super Teams have my interest.
I saw something about the burning bush. I may pop into that one. I’m now of the opinion that STs are great for the first two nights, but after that I drop so far behind that it’s not worth it. Still, it’s a lot of fun to get a travel power before the night is over…
The thing about the end of a Super Team is that they start to PL the lowbies back up. What level did you make it to? It would be more beneficial if you got choking cloud already, but if not...it will be soon.
I think I was level 16, but I lost a lot of time. No biggie. I like them, but I haven’t made it higher than 22 yet in the two I’ve been part of. But I don’t care, really. I’d like to get my main (the 33 grav/force troller on Justice) to 50 but I can’t find groups for him and it takes forever to solo. It’s safe, especially now that I have singularity, but it’s slow as crap.
Sometimes an assault rifle just isn’t the right tool for the job, or character, especially when he or she should be using a sniper rifle instead. Players can now change their weapons in the same way that they change their costume parts! From within the costume creator and tailor screen players select the new “Weapons” region. A number of new options are now available for appropriate power sets. Current power sets that benefit from this upgrade include Assault Rifle, Mercenaries/Assault Rifle, Bow, Broadsword, Claws, Villain Claws, Dual Blades (see below), Katana, Ninja Blade, Mace, Robotics/Pulse Rifle, and Thugs/Dual Pistols.
Seeing this made me want to start up CoH again. What servers and sides (Hero/Villain) do you guys play on? I have a 20ish Blaster Hero and a 20ish Corrupter Villain if I recall correctly. I’m also nowhere near as knowledgeable about CoH/V as I am about WoW. What is a Super Team?
Lune, Fessus and Cameron(amongst some other now) play on Justice, and from what I understand they play mostly with members of the 3rebb SG members (will the name be changing?). I on the other hand play mostly on Freedom. I have since the server went live. When not on a Super Team, I play mostly with Repeat Offenders (join the global channel or go to http://www.Repeat-Offenders.net to see)
As for what a super team is...well its basically a set archetype(s) with power sets in mind that focus on massive buffs/debuffs and AoE damage.
Ahh, so Super Teams aren’t an actual in-game mechanic. It’s not like I go to Positron and say “Yo, sign me up for Super Team AlphaZero.” It’s just a set group of people who create a themed group. Are they all AoE centric groups or was that just how they started and have since diverged into any sort of themed and planned gathering?
So most of you play on Justice, I’m assuming Heroes? I’ve only ever really played the Blaster / Corrupter. Are those overdone? Superlame?
At least as far as those of us who play on Justice, we don’t care about levels and builds. I’m constantly building new toons since my highest level toon I can’t get a group started for my life. My oldest toon is a 22 scrapper on Liberty, which is where I started in beta, and he’s the one I’ve been playing most cause he’s a solo god. When you play from 10 am to about 2 pm there’s just not many people online.
Yeah, sorry. I haven’t even looked in this forum much. Been really busy with stupid RL stuff. I haven’t been on CoH lately for 2 major reasons: video card problems with my PC, working on D&D campaign. Once the RL issues pass (car problems, don’t ask) which should take like another week or 2 and I get my newish PC built I will be back on. I think my game account expired too, which I’m fine with for the time being.
OMG, I get to pick a weapon for Absense now? Thats nice. Definately gotta check that out. Wonder if they each use slightly different mechanics.
My character just so happens to be on Justice. Level 18 Energy/Energy Blaster named Slipstar. Have a villain too: Dark/Kinetics Corrupter named Frogstar. Points to someone who can name the Corrupter’s namesake.
