Noting that Erais’s fear spell worked and the Big Kobold has moved away, Riardon turns his attention to one of the smaller kobolds. The closest one in fact. “You are mine!” He whispers to his bow. “Til one of us is dead.” He looks closely and aims for a opening in his defenses.
He shoots.
(OOC: If Kobold #3 is still alive after Kathra and Skamos are finished, he is my target. I designate him to be my Quarry(+1d8 per round) as a minor action and use my Careful Attack (+10 vs AC, 1d10+4+1d8 damage). If he is not, #4 takes the place of #3 and do the exact same thing. If both are dead, #1 is my next choice. (just to spite Tira, mostly))
"Ah, finally some fun!” says Skamos, a certain sarcasm clear in his voice. “I guess your hands are not free to hold mine after all. But first, let me try and silence a few of these kobolds...”
[ooc: standard action Force Orb at #4 +5 vs reflex to hit 2d8+5 dmg, secondary attack on #2 and #3 with the same mods]
[if successful in dropping #3, I will move 5 feet due north, and if I am successful in dropping all three, I will move 4 squares due north, then a diagonal up/right to just north of the fire pit]
Intent on not letting the fleeing kobold get away, Kartha follows him and attacks
[OOC: Move to large kobold 1 and hit for 11 damage.]
“Ah, finally some fun!” says Skamos, a certain sarcasm clear in his voice. “I guess your hands are not free to hold mine after all. But first, let me try and silence a few of these kobolds...” letting loose with a deadly force orb that turns 3 of the kobolds into a bloody mass.
[OOC: 20, 24, and 23 hits all kobolds for 11 damage, they drop as well]
Seeing all of his primary targets down, Rairdon attacks the kobold Tira had claimed, skewering it through the eye and dropping it.
[OOC: 20 to hit, and 11 damage (wow what are the odds?)]
With all the kobolds around him dropping like flies under the combined assault of his companions, Corrin is left with no enemy between him and the fleeing kobold.
“You shall not escape, foul beast!” Corrin exclaims as he moves to reinforce Kathra.
[OOC: Minor Action: Mark remaining kobold with Divine Challenge. If kobold makes an attack that doesn’t include Corrin as a target he takes a -2 penalty on the attack and 8 radiant damage.
Move Action: Up, Up, Up, Up-Right (4 squares) to end up next to Kathra
Standard Action: Attack kobold with Holy Strike; +5 vs. AC, 1d6+5 radiant damage.]
“You shall not escape, foul beast!” Corrin exclaims as he moves to reinforce Kathra., striking hard at the remaining kobold. Unfortunately even though his blow lands solid, he still fails to drop the hulking kobold, although it is looking much worse for the wear.
[OOC: 15 vs AC hits, 7 damage, kobold is still up]
Tira, frustrated with her initial failure and further driven on by Riardon’s easy potshot of her target, focuses on the remaining kobold, intent on landing the killing blow. She quickly moves further into the cave, and with a flick of her wrist, levels her wand at the kobold brute, sending a crackle of white flame into his gut.
[OOC: Move 4 squares north/up (gain concealment via Shadow Walk). Warlock’s Curse on kobold. (+1d6). Witchfire on kobold, +4 vs Reflex, 2d6+1d6(W.C.)+4 fire damage, -4 to target’s attack rolls until end of my next turn)]
Erais calls out, “May Amaunator light the way that thy blows may strike true!” A beam of searing light erupts from his symbol, streaking towards the nearest kobold.
5’ shift north, At-will Lance of Faith (range 5, +4 vs Reflex, 1d8+4 radiant damage and +2 power bonus to attack for Corin if successful) targetting Kobold #7
Tira lines up her shot and fries the remain kobold where it stands. However her moment of triumph is cut short as 4 more of the creatures scurry out of the cave to the northeast.
Deftly maneuvering past Karthas, they attack her, 2 of the 3 attacks finding niches in her defenses.
[OOC: Tira hits the large kobold for 15 damage and drops him.
3 smaller kobolds run out, Karthas’ and Corrin’s OA miss (double 2s).
The 3 kobolds attack Karthas, 8+7=15, miss, 12+7=19 hit, 13+7=20 hit, for 4 damage total.]
With a prayer to his god, Erias lets out a blast of radiant energy, solidly hitting the nearest kobold and killing it.
Unfortunately for the stalwart adventurers, the kobolds are not done yet. Another kobold enters from the north east and, much to everyones surprise, 2 more brutes appear form the north west.
The lesser kobold sidesteps as the 2 brutes bark a few orders in a language no one can understand, then hacks into Kartha, as the brutes throw spears at the nearest enemy… the unfortunate Tira.
[OOC: Shift 5’south (minor action for kobold); 14+7=21 vs Kartha’s AC, for 2 points of damage.
Skirmisher 1: 9+8=17 vs AC for 3 damage, Skirmisher 2: 13+7=20 for 8 damage. 11 total]
Skamos shouts in Common, “Too bad you never will learn to speak a civilized language, or at least goblin!” as he moves forward, shooting a bolt of force into a larger kobold.
He looks at the gong, and not wanting any more unwanted guests, gestures toward it, having a spectral hand hold it still…
[ooc move action: move 20’ north, minor action: mage hand, holding the gong still to prevent it from ringing again standard action: magic missile at #3, +5 vs. reflex, 2d4+5]
Riardon smiles over to Skamos, “Good job, spell-thrower. That ringing was starting to hurt my ears.” He scans his comrades and decides that Tira, Erais, and Skamos need more help than Kathra and Corrin do. He moves for a better shot, selects his target and takes careful aim. “You or me”, he whispers as he pulls the string of his bow.
(OOC:Move NW 2 Squares and West 2 Squares, Minor action: Designate Brute #3 as my Quarry, Attack Brute#3 using Careful Attack (+10 vs AC, 1d10+4+1d8 damage) Unless Skamos kills him, in which case I keep the same movement but designate Brute#2 as my Quarry and use Careful Attack against Brute#2 instead)
Kartha cleaves at the kobold in front of her, dropping it, but unfortunately no other kobold is close enough for her to continue the attack. She decides to move to the SE to engage the creature there.
Meanwhile, Skamos fires a ball of magic force at one of the brute, but alas to no avail as the agile creature skitters out of the way.
Intent on proving himself the superior marksman, Riar moves and fires an arrow into the same brute that Skamos just missed, scoring a solid hit.
[OOC: Kartha: Standard attack, kobold 5. 19 vs AC hits for 8 kobold dies; Shifts 5’ SE.
Skamos: Move 4 squares north; 4+5-2=7 vs AC misses.
Riar: Move north west 2 squares, and west 2 squares; 13+10-2=21 vs AC hits for 12 damage, kobold is still up.]
"The Light ward us against thy blows and rain down His judgement upon thee!” calls out Erais as he charges towards one of the larger kobolds, intent on strinking it down. He swings his mace at the creature standing eye to eye with him on the stone steps, his mace alight with holy fire.
Healing Word to Tira (she may spend a surge now and get an extra 1d6+4 hps).
Charge Kobold Brute 2 (if still standing, otherwise charge Kobold Brute 3, action remains the same). Mace +5 vs AC, 1d8+2 damage.
Unless both Kobold Brutes are down, take a Move action (only if needed to step within reach of the other), spend an Action Point, and strike at the Kobold Brute with Priest’s Shield (+4 mace attack vs AC, 1d8+2 damage, and +1 Power bonus to AC for myself and Riardon until the end of my next turn.)
"To be lucky is to be good,” Corrin declares as he strikes down the kobold before him and then moves around.
[OOC: Minor action: Mark kobold brute 2 with Divine Challenge. Creature takes -2 attack and 8 radiant damage if it makes an attack which does not include Corrin as a target.
Standard action: Attack kobold 6 with Bolstering Strike. +6 vs. AC, Damage 1d6+2, 3 temporary hit points to Corrin.
