I’m going to be in a PBP at ORP that is a SW Saga campaign happening during the rise of the rebellion. We’re starting at 1st level.
I decided to play a scoundrel (in keeping with my usual preference for rogues). I’m not intending to clone Solo, but my idea is heavily influenced by characters like Mal, Han, Chode, and the Futurama crew.
I rolled astonishingly well (well, the dice roller at ORP did) and got 2 17s, 2, 16s, a 15, and a 10. I assigned the 17s to Dex and Cha, the 16s to Int and Con, the 10 to Str and the 15 to Wis.
For talent trees, I’m thinking mostly of Fortune and Misfortune and settled on Disruptive for the 1st level.
I’m thinking Linguist and Precise Shot for feats on top of the base feats PBS, Weapon Prof Pistol and Weapon Prof simple. I’m flexible on Linguist (but I’d like to take it because I think it fits my character idea. I could use some ideas on SW languages to know - Huttese is a given...) Precise Shot seems like a natural fit.
Skills I’m going with Deception, Knowledge Bureaucracy, Knowledge Social Sciences, Knowledge Technology, Perception, Persuasion, and Stealth. I’m flexible on the Knowledges (except Bureaucracy).
We’re starting with full credits for the classes, so 3000 for me. Not sure about items, but I’m thinking about a standard blaster pistol, and that’s about as far as I got before I started to wonder about whether we’d be allowed to purchase items or if that would be rolled into IC threads.
Any advice is helpful as this will be my first SW campaign since the d6 era (and that one didn’t last long) and my first non-D&D game in four years.
