I know that several people here have created 4th Edition character sheets, but I decided to create my own, and would like some feedback on the character sheets and information sheets.

The Character Folio is still in beta-testing by my brother’s group. (I currently don’t play because there are no players where I live.) I only included the races from the PHB, but do plan to add the races from the MM in a day or so.

I included some of the information sheets in the Folio for easy reference, but also kept them separate if you prefer another character sheet.

Any feedback would be appreciated. Thanks.

DnD 4e Sheets

* Character Folio (includes 2 each of the following: Power Sheet, Magical Items Sheet, and Ritual Sheet)
* Power Sheet
* Magical Items Sheet
* Ritual Sheet
* Adventuring Party Item Tracking Sheet
* Game Information Sheet
* Combat Information Sheet
* Session Tracking Sheet
* DM Character Item Tracking Sheet
* DM Quick Tracking Sheet
* Combat Cards

Looks good.  I only noted one problem in the folio during my (admittedly) brief perusal.  The MAX HP block is the class base number plus the character’s Constitution SCORE, not MOD.  So a fighter with a 14 Con should have a starting HP of 29, not 17.  This was from my actual test, and I know this because I made the same mistake.

The Party Inventory tracking sheet is okay, but I don’t like how it’s set up.  I prefer to track each player separately.  So rather than a mundane armor section and writing names, I’d like a name section and blocks underneath for each item type.

Well so far, I really like the Adventuring Party Item tracking sheet… very nice tool for a DM to keep track of what he’s given and what’s been used… I absolutely love the character sheet, except I believe it calculates HP for first level wrong. I think at first level you’re supposed to get your class’s set value plus your con score not your con modifier. This is a change I noticed between editions. The information sheets will be an instant addition to my gaming table and if the players would be smart enough to actually fill out the session tracker I can see it being valuable too, my players of course will not do anything of the sort. Overall a nice job though… thanks for the stuff… oh and where are you that nobody near you plays?

Edit: While I was typing and looking through your sheets Cameron actually posted the smae thing...hehe

It was actually set up as a sheet for player bookkeeping purposes. In a couple of groups I’ve been in, we have tracked stuff that way (castle/keep treasure room, bag of holding, etc.)

Thanks for all that. I play about 40 minutes north of Raleigh, NC. I could drive to Raleigh, but with gas prices the way they are, its hard. I’ve tried all the websites to find players/groups, and I found one, but its still 20 miles away from where I live.

I added them as a space filler. For some reason, I hate dead, wasted space.

As an aside, I’ve noticed that the sheet does not work in regards to the Race, Class, Paragon Path, and Epic Destiny list boxes in Acrobat 7 but works perfectly in Acrobat 8, albeit a little slow. It works if I add the JS to the field, but not at the document level. Advice from anyone with Acrobat expertise would be much appreciated.

raineym,

Some really nice work. Just a couple of things I’ve noticed, it doesn’t seem to be calculating hit points correctly. My 3rd level dwarf cleric should have 37 hps. Con - 15 / 1st level hps 27 / 2nd level 32 / 3rd level 37. It also seems to be miscalculating Passive Insight and Passive perceptions. Otherwise, some good stuff you did.

First thing, let me just say you did a wonderful work. I will be using the game and combat information sheets once I start playing 4E, which should be soon. I am in the process of preparing a campaign.

I would like to offer a few improvements which I think will be fantastic

1. make all the sheets that let you write information as forms, just like the character sheet you did, only no need for calculations. Two of my players and myself will be using laptops at the game table.

2. make it possible to save a filled form. I know that there is an option in adobe reader to save forms if that feature was enabled on the form. Not sure from which version.

3. Add PC and monster combat cards to the collection (like the ones at the end of the DMG).

Once again,
Great job and many thanks for all you have done so far.

This would be excellent.  Since I only have Reader, I’m stuck with printing what I make.  I know there is a way to set Acrobat files to be savable even if the recipient only has Reader, but I don’t know the ins and outs.

That’s the plan. I just gotta have time to do it, that’s all. I started doing this the day I got the books.

The updated zip file in the first post should do it now. Let me know if it doesn’t.

Still working on some sheets, and this is one of them.

* Combat Cards (Player and DM)
* Player Inventory Tracking Sheet
* Dungeon Master Quick Tracker Sheet

Wow!  Very nicely done.  I like the fact that they are crisp, clean and very readable, but also have a fantasy feel to them through the logo, and graphics.  I may see if my group wants to try these out this weekend and then I’ll try to get you more feedback next week.

I just added a DM Quick Tracking Sheet. Also put the files on a web storage site so that I don’t have to update the zip file anymore. The link is in the first post.

The site was experiencing difficulties for awhile. I just checked and got them fine.

I’m also having trouble - I can see the files, check the boxes, but I don’t have anywhere as an option to ‘download’

I love deadlines. I like the whooshing sound they make as they fly by.

Unfortunately, you’ll have to download them one at a time by clicking on the file’s name. It’s a limitation of MediaFire.

I’m working on getting my own domain back up and running again. I’ll have the sheets housed on there then.

My apologies.
